Montour County Dog License
Any dog older than three months needs a license.
The license is good for the calendar year only. January to January. So if you get a dog in September and buy a license it’s only good to the end of the year and you need to buy another license January 1 of the following year.
License fee:
- Male or Female $8.50. Neutered Male or Spayed Female $6.50.
- Senior citizens, age 65 and older or a person with disability have a reduced license fee. Male or Female Dog $6.50. Neutered Male or Spayed Female, $4.50.
Please Note: If you are applying for a license that requires the dog owner be a senior citizen, age 65 and older, or a person with disability, you must provide proof of age or disability to the County Treasurer or Agent.
For those who find it inconvenient to go to the courthouse or other licensing spots, such as the Anthony Township Building you may call your information into the County Treasurer. They will take the information over the phone, fill in the application for you and upon receipt of your check mail your license to you. County Treasurer phone number is 570-271-3016.
