When you join 4-H, a whole world of exciting ideas and fun projects opens up for you to get involved and have a good time. There are so many different clubs and activities to choose from. What a great way to make new friends, learn lots of cool stuff, and help others.
If you are interested in finding out more about 4-H in your area, contact the cooperative extension office in your county.
4-H membership is open to all youth between the ages of 8 and 19 without regard to ancestry, color, disability or handicap, national origin, race, religious creed, sex, sexual orientation, or place of residence
To be considered a member, a youth must enroll in one or more 4-H projects and have the enrollment recorded (enrollment takes effect when the enrollment sheet or record card is received in the county extension office).
Youth must be at least eight years old by January 1 of the current year and not be nineteen years of age by January 1, to participate in club, county, regional, state, or national 4-H events and activities.
4-H is a program that can benefit all youth. Involving youth of varied races and cultures, youth with disabilities, and youth that have not traditionally been in the 4-H program benefits everyone by creating a broader understanding of all people and diverse experiences for all members and leaders.
